Established in 1977. Dr. Mark Lebel joined straight from Tufts, and his grandfather, the oral surgeon Dr. Ray Lebel, was the original owner of the building.

Dr. Mark Lebel has practised here since he graduated from Tufts in 1997. Dr. Seth Sherwood came to dentistry after four years on active duty, and went to dental school right here in Portland.

Your first visit is an exam, and a proper one.

The initial appointment is a comprehensive exam visit only. The doctor completes your examination and makes recommendations for treatment. Treatment or a cleaning the same day cannot be promised.

Dental emergencies

In pain, or a tooth knocked out? Call straight away.

Should a dental emergency occur, every effort is made to see and care for you as soon as possible. The pain almost always gets worse without treatment.

If a tooth has been knocked out

Call the officeA tooth replaced within an hour has a chance to reattach.
Hold it by the crownRinse it under warm water. Do not touch the root.
Keep it moistIn the socket, in the cheek, or in a cup of milk.
Come in quicklyGet to the office quickly and safely.

Cancelling or reschedulingPlease give 24 business hours’ notice, so the time can go to another patient. A missed appointment, or one cancelled without notice, carries a fee.

RemindersConfirmations go out by email, text or phone call one week before your appointment. Not getting them? Tell the front desk, so your details can be checked.

The team works with your insurance to maximise your benefits and keep your out-of-pocket cost as low as possible.

Are you taking new patients?

Yes. Call (207) 773-3738 and the New Patient Coordinator will book your initial exam. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call within 24 business hours so the time can go to another patient.

Will I have a cleaning at my first visit?
